PESHAWAR    -    Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment (KPBOI) Vice Chairman Engr Syed Mahmood, while express­ing his views at a function held in the honour of the ambassadors of South Africa and Argentina said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is rich in natural resources and raw materials.

There are plenty of investment opportunities in the province’s tourism and hydropower sectors, he said in a briefing session held regarding investment at the function.

It is worth mentioning that the high commissioner of South Africa and the ambassador of Argentina vis­ited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment Office dressed in traditional turbans and Chitra­li caps. Prominent industrialists of the province and members of the Chamber attended the meeting.

On this occasion, the distinguished guests appreci­ated the excellent hospitality and reception. The am­bassador of Argentina said that his country would like to invest in various sectors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The importance of regional connectivity for commer­cial activities and development cannot be denied. Peo­ple-to-people contact should be increased, he said.

Speaking on the occasion, the high commissioner of South Africa thanked Syed Mehmood and his team for the warm welcome and said that his country will take necessary steps to increase public relations and address issues related to human rights with the Khy­ber Pakhtunkhwa government.
