LAHORE -Northern beat Sindh in the Super Over after the 17th fixture of the Cricket Associations was tied at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Friday. In the super over, Sindh could score only one run and in reply, Northern comfortably chased down the target on the first ball of their super over. Earlier, after opting to bat, Northern scored 143-7 with captain Umair Masood scoring 31 and Musa Khan 27. For Sindh, captain M Taha bagged 2-29. In return, Sindh managed to score 143-7 in 20 overs. M Afzal struck 32 while Northern’s Musa Khan clinched 2-21. In the second match of the day, Ali Shafiq’s three wickets and 22-ball 31 went in vain as Balochistan defeated Central Punjab by 21 runs. Batting first, Balochistan scored 148-8 in 20 overs with Dawood Khan scoring 37. Asad Raza bagged two wickets. In reply, Central Punjab were bowled out for 127 in the 20th over with Ali cracking 31. Tariq Jameel and Zainullah got two wickets each.
