PESHAWAR - Police arrested 17 accused in various cases and also recovered 4kg of charas, 3kg of crystal meth (ice) and other narcotics in search and strike operations in the provincial capital on Friday.
An official said that during a swoop in Hayatabad locality, the cops arrested seven alleged land-grabbers and reclaimed a piece of land they had illegally occupied. The cops also recovered 2.5kg of heroin and 2kg of charas.
In another raid, the cops arrested two accused and recovered 2.5kg of charas in the posh area of University Town, while two gangsters were nabbed and 8 snatched mobile phones and three pistols were also recovered from their possession.
