The Indus River is flowing in medium flood at Tarbela, Kalabagh, Chashma, and Taunsa barrages following heavy monsoon rains in the upper parts of the country, according to the Sukkur Barrage Control Room.
The river is currently in low flood at Guddu and Sukkur barrages but is expected to rise to medium flood at Guddu within the next 24 hours.
Water levels at major reservoirs have also surged. Tarbela Dam has reached 1548.02 feet, which is 98 percent of its 1550-feet capacity, while Mangla Dam stands at 1211.90 feet, about 69 percent of its maximum 1242 feet capacity.
At Guddu Barrage, the Indus inflow has been recorded at 282,900 cusecs against an outflow of 256,100 cusecs. Sukkur Barrage reported an inflow of 211,500 cusecs and outflow of 154,900 cusecs, while downstream Kotri Barrage recorded 81,200 cusecs inflow and 66,200 cusecs outflow.
