The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced that the ongoing training camp of the national U23 team in Abbottabad has been shifted to Islamabad due to expected adverse weather conditions.

The remainder of the camp will now take place at Jinnah Sports Complex, Islamabad. The PFF expressed gratitude to the Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board, Yasir Pirzada, for urgently facilitating the availability of the venue on short notice.

Head Coach Nolberto Solano will join the squad in Islamabad, where he will oversee preparations for the next two weeks.

A total of 50 players, initially selected through national tryouts, are currently part of the camp. The final 23-man squad will be announced later.

Pakistan will kick off their AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers campaign against Iraq on September 3. Their second group match will be played against hosts Cambodia on September 6, while the final group-stage fixture is scheduled against Oman on September 9.
