The University of Gujrat (UoG) is holding its 4th convocation to award degrees to 5,000 UoG successful students of 2013 and 2014 sessions and gold medals to 122 position holders at its Hafiz Hayat Campus here today.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will be the chief guest of the ceremony. Punjab Governor and Chancellor Malik Rafiq Rajwana and Higher Education Commission Chairman Prof Mukhtar Ahmad will also be among the guests.

A full dress rehearsal was organised at the same venue with thousands of students. Addressing the students at the full dress rehearsal, Vice Chancellor Prof Ziaul Qayyum said that such ceremonies hold special importance in the academic journey of students. He said that the UoG is also holding a magnificent ceremony for its graduating students.

The ceremony will start at 10am and no students will be allowed to enter the venue if they reach late.

EXAMS: Meanwhile, UoG supplementary examinations for M.A./M.Sc/M.Com (Part I & II) for the year 2015 will begin from March 1, 2016. Controller of Examinations Ahmad Jamil Turk said that date-sheets for the exams have already been issued.
