KARACHI - Aafia Movement Pakistan leader Dr Fowzia Siddiqui has demanded justice for the family of Sumera, a ninth class student who was kidnapped from Baldia, trafficked to Mandi Bahauddin and murdered after prolonged detention and gang rape.
Dr Fowzia said that killers could be easily traced with the help of a forensic report. She said that the examination of bones of the exhumed body would prove helpful.
According to details, she expressed solidarity with the mother of slain Sumera, Humera Muhammad, who struggled for three long years so that the killers of her daughter are taken to the task.
She said dispensing justice to citizens is basic duty of the state. She regretted that police of Sindh and Punjab provinces did not give justice to Humera.
She appealed to the chief justice to take suo motu notice of the rape and murder of Sumera so that her killers are taken to the task. She also demanded that copies of reports of the postmortem and DNA test should be provided to Humera Muhammad.
