LAKKI MARWAT - Infuriated villagers killed a bandit after he along with two other accomplices made a robbery attempt in a house in Langerkhel Hindal village near Lakki late Saturday night. Official sources said Sunday that three armed bandits barged into the house of Obaidullah Jan in the village to loot the family adding that two bandits started breaking the locks of boxes in a room while their third accomplice stood in veranda. Meanwhile the inmates awoke. They said two bandits managed to flee while one identified as Jamil Khan, who was armed with a klashnikov rifle, was overpowered by Obaidullah. They said he recovered from him the looted items. One of the fleeing bandit also fired at the inmates but luckily no one was hurt, the sources said adding that over 100 villagers gathered in the house, when they heard voice of fire. The villagers later beat and killed the bandit Jamil Khan, the sources added. They said heavy contingent of police headed by SDPO Lakki Syed Nawaz Khan reached the spot and took the body, stolen articles and a klashnikov rifle into possession.
