Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed the Pakistan Railways (PR) to commence special train on the occasion of Urs of renowned sufi saint Lal Shah Qalandar. A LHC bench headed by Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry Monday heard the petition regarding PR refusal to run special train service for devotees on the occasions of Urs of Sufi saints. Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry observed that special train service for devotees who wanted to attend Urs of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar should be started within 24-hour. In his remarks CJ, LHC said that when PR officials would be sent to jail they should realize the power of court directives. On the other hand devotees were of the view that when special train services could be run for Sikh Yatrees and other events then why not for devotees of sufi saints.
