OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - The government has decided to provide Rs 2 billion Ramazan Package at all the utility stores as well as in Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, besides the provision of special subsidy on 14 items of daily use, announced Senior Federal Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Ch Pervaiz, who is also president PML-Q Punjab, made this announcement while chairing a meeting of the zonal managers and managers of the utility stores at his camp office in State Guest House on Sunday. He also announced increasing the timings of the utility stores to avoid long queues of the customers. The Senior Federal Minister said that the utility store officers, who would work to make the Package successful, would be awarded while strict action would be taken against the irresponsible officers. He also directed the party MNAs and MPAs to visit the utility stores in their respective districts and inform the authorities about the problems of the masses at the stores in order to make the Package a successful. The PML-Q leader announced that he has decided to introduce a strict monitoring of the services at the utility stores in order to timely response to masses complaints. He directed the officers to ensure availability of all the items at the utility stores and fill the gap if any before the Ramzan and also follow strict code regarding the quality control. PML-Q leaders including Raja Basharat, Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din, Haleem Adil Sheikh and G M Sikandar and additional federal secretary industries, Agha Nadeem were also present on this occasion.
