ATC issues fresh warrants of Musharraf, Aziz

The Anti Terrorist Court (ATC) has again issued the arrest warrants of seven high profile accused including former President Pervez Musharraf in Bugti murder case. On Wednesday the judge of ATC Muhammad Nawaz Khan Barakzai resumed the proceeding of the case regarding killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti. During the hearing the investigating officer told the court that former Governor Awais Ghani and ex Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao was released against surety bonds of Rs 0.5 million each. He also told the court that they dispatched the arrest warrants of former President Pervez Musharraf and ex Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz to Ministry of Interior but no reply was received yet from them. “ A letter was also written to National Assembly for the apprehension of Aftab Sherpao and on making contact it was told that he is ready to appear before the court provided that he should be given security”, he added. On which the court showed its anger and directed the investigators to present them in the court on next date of hearing after cancellation of surety bonds. The court issued fresh warrant of former President Pervez Musharraf, ex Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former Governor Balochistan Awais Ahmed Ghani, former Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, former provincial home minister Shoaib Nosherwani and former DCO Dera Bugti Abdul Samad Lasi and ordered that all the accused should be presented before court on next date of hearing and adjourned the hearing till 15 August.
