ISLAMABAD - Former Pakistan World Cup winning captain Imran Khan has hailed the restoration of bilateral cricketing ties between two arch-rivals Pakistan and India and termed it a very positive step.

Imran Khan expressed these views on the occasion of cricket summer camp for the journalists’ kids organised by the National Press Club Islamabad at Marghazar cricket ground on Tuesday. Test cricketer Yasir Hameed, NPC President, Secretary, Sports Committee chairman, Finance Secretary and a large group of journalists and their kids were present on the occasion.
He appreciated the organisers for the camp and said, more than half of country’s population is under 25 years of age and our youth can play a positive role in the development of country by keeping them engage in sporting activities to achieve satisfactory results.
Imran said: “If I had not played cricket I could have never made the cancer hospital as there were lot of difficulties and just because I had played cricket so I never lose heart as I know no one can defeat me, every time a sportsman loss a match or event he takes heart and that makes him further strong”.
He said, India committed mistakes during the semi-final of the WC but Pakistan made more mistakes that's why they lose the match.
