Interfaith and inter-cultural harmony stressed


LAHORE - Peace and Harmony Network Pakistan arranged a roundtable conference on Tuesday that was addressed by politicians, Islamic scholars and representatives from Christian, Hindu and Sikh religions.
The conference passed two resolutions which stressed the end of sectarian or ethnic discrimination and urged the people from different religions to restore compassion, respect and tolerance among one another so that the society might be called a balanced one.
Media Coordinator to President Naveed Chaudhry, Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Health Dr Saeed Elahi, MPA Dr Samia Amjad, Peace and Harmony Network Pakistan Chairperson Maulana Zubair Abid, Coordinator Javaid William and other notables attended and addressed the meeting. Naveed Chaudhry said the service of humanity must not be ignored, adding the govt was also going to take initiatives in this regarding interfaith harmony.
