ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari has called the Chief Election Commissioner Justice (r) Fakhruddin G Ibrahim and thanked him for accepting an important responsibility. The president expressed the hope that the next general elections would be transparent under the supervision of the new CEC. The CEC assured the president that he would perform his duties in the best possible manner.
