ISLAMABAD - A delegation of General Electric comprising of Lorenzo Simonelli, President & CEO, Dvid B Ticker, Vice President Global Sales, and Ash Nsinor, MD West Asia, visited Board of Investment on Thursday. The representatives of Pakistan Railway were also present on the occasion. Chairman BoI Saleem H Mandviwalla referred about MoU with GE in February 2010 under which BoI and GE agreed to work together and cooperate to identify energy/power, water and transportation projects in Pakistan. He added, We are offering GE to invest in the restructuring of rail link from Havelian to Khunjrab, rehabilitation of track from Quetta to Kohi taftan, realignment of track from Kaluwal to Pindora, high-speed double track between Lahore and Rawalpindi, rail link connecting Gwadar Port with Mastung, doubling of track from Golra Sharif to Peshawar and rail link between Zhob-D.I.Khan-Kotla Jam.
