Nisar reviews security arrangements for 23rd March parade

Islamabad- The Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has directed the Islamabad administration to ensure foolproof security arrangements, on the occasion of 23rd March Pakistan Day Parade of the armed forces.

Presiding over a high level meeting which was attended by Commissioners Islamabad and Rawalpindi, IG Islamabad, CCPO Rawalpindi and other senior officials, the Minister gave clear instructions that no shortcoming in the security arrangements would be tolerated.

At the same time Nisar said that the common citizens should also be facilitated so that they should not suffer.  The Minister also appealed the citizens to cooperate with the authorities. During the meeting, Nisar was briefed about the arrangements made for the parade. He was told that certain portions of Islamabad Expressway will be closed for three days and traffic would be diverted to alternative routes.

Nisar told the participants that the citizens should be kept informed about the alternative routes, through the media. He also asked them to keep close contact with the military authorities for the parade.
