ISLAMABAD - The ongoing Pakistan Tennis Federation's (PTF's) training camp under the patronage of Indian coach Birbal Wadhera is reaches its peak as top Pakistani players such as Jalil Khan, Yasir Khan, and others started intensive training. When asked by this scribe about the players progress, Jalil Khan said that, "we are getting different kinds of tips and fitness exercises and to remain super fit without being exhausted under the scorching heat the coach has told us how to consume energy." Birbal while expressing his views said these top ranked players were very sound during contest but were far behind as far as their fitness level was concerned. "My main focus was to enhance their physical and mental fitness so they can remain super fit no matter they have played for 5 to 6 hours," he said. To a question about the progress of the camps participants, Birbal said he was satisfied with the progress of the lads and added that if they continued to work hard and adopted basic techniques, then they would shine at highest level. PTF President Syed Kaleem Imam who was also present during the evening training session at PTF Complex said, the main objective of holding this camp despite rising temperature was to make the youngsters feel that the federation fully cared for them. He said they were committed to promote tennis at national level but as well as at international level. He said they were trying to get security clearance from Karachi to hold camp there. He said, "as soon as we get the green signal we will take Birbal to Karachi and will hold a similar-type of training camp for the youth of Karachi and adjacent areas."
