Sindh has lodged a protest against the usage of 5,000 cusec water of its share by Punjab, reported a private TV channel on Tuesday, quoting its sources. The Sindh regulation director has written a letter to Indus River System Authority (IRSA), maintaining that the designated quota of water for Sindh was 100,000 cusecs but it was getting 95,000 from Taunsa Barrage. The letter also states that Punjab was using the extra 5,000 cusecs. On the complaint of Sindh, IRSA authorities have sought a reply from the Punjab Irrigation Department.
