ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has demanded a sum of Rs 4.5 billion in the next financial year (2012-13) for smooth running of its various operations. According to an official, the budget of PBM was Rs 2 billion during the last financial year.
(2011-12). Keeping in view the inflation, he said Rs 2 billion is insufficient to meet the expenses. Pakistan Bait ul Mal has established 28 Pakistan Sweet Homes across the country in which 2800 orphans are being provided basic amenities of life free of cost.
Nine Sweet Homes have been sponsored by philanthropists while PBM is bearing the expenditures of 19 sweet homes. PBM would soon establish another Sweet Home for the orphans in the capital. PBM was also planning to establish sweet homes exclusively for girls, he said.
