A grand Jirga of tribal elders was held in Wana, South Waziristan, to commemorate the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and honor the sacrifices made by the security forces.
The elders offered Fateha for the martyrs and paid tribute to their bravery and dedication in restoring peace to the region. Participants expressed full confidence in the unity between the tribal population and the armed forces.
The Jirga praised the outcome of the military operation and reaffirmed the community’s commitment to sustaining peace and development. Elders also held detailed discussions on the importance of resolving land disputes—particularly in the Gurgura and Ghundak areas—through peaceful means and urged influential community members to play a constructive role in mediating these issues.
Emphasizing the need for continued harmony, the tribal elders pledged unwavering cooperation with the security forces in maintaining lasting peace and stability across South Waziristan.
