ISLAMABAD - The federal government has posted a senior bureaucrat, Shahzad Khan Bangash as new Chief Secretary (CS) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and the outgoing CS KP Kazim Niaz has been posted as Water Resources Division Secretary.

According to the notification, “ With the approval of the federal government Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash, a BS-22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, presently posted as Secretary Water Resources Division, is transferred and posted as Chief Secretary, government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with immediate effect and until further orders.” It further says,” Dr Kazim Niaz, a BS-22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, presently posted as Chief Secretary, government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is transferred and posted as Secretary, Water Resources Division with immediate effect and until further orders.”

The Establishment Division has issued the notifications in this regard. Earlier, the federal government took permission for  the appointment of Shahzad Khan Bangash as CS from Cabinet members through a circulation summary. Shahzad will be fourth CS of KP during PTI government.
