Bilawal due in Lahore today

LAHORE - PPP’s Patron-in-Chief, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is scheduled to arrive in Lahore on Thursday (today) for onward journey to the flood affected areas of Punjab.
This would be for the first time in his political career that Bilawal would be meeting the flood victims in Punjab as head of the PPP.  He would land at Lahore Airport at around 1:30 pm and leave for Chiniot on board a helicopter to distribute relief items among the flood affectees. The PPP leader would return to Bilawal House Lahore in the evening and attend a meeting of PPP leaders from Lahore and adjoining districts. He would also have dinner with them.
On Friday, Bilawal is scheduled to have a breakfast meeting with party leaders and then leave for Muzaffargarh to meet the flood affectees there. Truck loads of relief goods from Sindh have already reached Punjab for distribution.  Bilawal would return to Lahore and leave for Karachi in the evening.
Though PPP leaders are not attaching any political significance to Bilawal’s Punjab visit, but analysts believe his party would get some political mileage out of it. The PPP’s popularity in Punjab is touching the lowest ebb since the assassination of its leader, Benazir Bhutto. The PPP was routed in last elections from this province.
