Record steps taken for welfare of officials of Lahore police: CCPO

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Pervez Rathore has said that, during his tenure, record concrete steps have been taken for the welfare of officials of Lahore Police. According to handout issued here on Monday, he was presiding over a meeting of senior police officers at Capital City Police Headquarters, here today, which reviewed various steps taken for the welfare of officials of Lahore Police. CCPO was informed that with the cost of 551.10 million, construction work had been started on record number of development projects. Among these, eight new Police stations are being constructed, including: PS Ghari Shahu with the cost of Rs. 21.73 million, Township costing Rs. 21.89 millions, Naseerabad Rs. 12.60 million, Ravi Road Rs. 12.60 million, Masti Gate costing Rs. 12.60 million and Garden Town costing Rs. 21.88 million. Whereas, PS Hanjarwal costing Rs. 21.53 million and Laiquatabad Rs. 12.60 million would be constructed at alternate places. CCPO said that, with the cost of Rs. 187.89 million, residential flats would be constructed for married Police officers from grade 15 to 17. He further informed that 1286/RFT new security wall had been constructed, with the cost of Rs. 21.60 million, whereas, destroyed residences of officer of grade 18-19 at CCPO Office are also being constructed. CCPO said that a hospital and seven barracks for the police officials are also being constructed at Police Line Qilla Gujjar Singh, Lahore at the cost of Rs. 65.03 million. Seven DSP's offices, with the cost of Rs. 9.429 million, are being built which included: DSP Wahdat Colony, City Raiwind, Mangamandi, Kahna, Baghbanpura, Mustafabad and Munawan. CCPO said that seven residences for the police officers of grade 20 are being constructed at Mughalpura Police Station, whereas 90 flats for the police official from grade 1 to 10 are also being constructed at Bhubptian Choke, opposite of Pak Hero Motorcycle Factory, Raiwind Road, and Lahore.
