Governor heaps praises on Allama Iqbal for teaching Muslims lesson of selfhood

LAHORE   -   Punjab Governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema visited the shrine of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the Poet of the East, on Monday. During his visit to the mausoleum, the Punjab governor offered Fateha and laid floral wreath on the grave of Allama Iqbal. He also recorded his impressions in the guest book. Speaking on the occasion, Omar Sarfraz Cheema said that Allama Iqbal, the Poet of the East, had given the message of selfhood (khudi) to the Muslims through his poetry. He also offered special prayers for the development, prosperity and stability of the country and the nation.
