Bugti's son files murder case

QUETTA - Nawabzada Talal Akbar Bugti, the son of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, has submitted an application in City Police Station Quetta requesting the registration of a case of murder of his father and other concerned high-ups of the former regime. This was the first application filed for registration of a case against Pervez Musharraf soon after his resignation. Talal Bugti came to police station along with his body guards and handed over the application alleging that Pervez Musharraf and other high-ups of his government were responsible for the killing of his father and his 65 companions on October, 26, 2006. The names of other personalities, which were incorporated in the application, included former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former minister for interior Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, former defence minister Rao Sikandar, former minister for law and parliamentary affairs Dr Sher Afgan, former Governor Balochistan Owais Ahmed Ghani, former Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Yousaf, former home minister Balochistan Mir Shoaib Nosherwani and some military officials. SP City Police Station, Khalid Masood, said the application would be sent to the concerned authorities for further action. Talking to newsmen on this occasion, Talal Akbar Bugti strongly opposed any safe passage to Pervez Musharraf. He said that the former president was responsible for the killings of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti and hundreds of other Balochs. "If any one gives safe passage to Pervez Musharraf, he would also be held responsible of the massacre of Balochs" Bugti said, adding Musharraf and all others responsible for the killings of people in Balochistan should be tried in the court of law.
