PESHAWAR - Like activists and stalwarts of different political forces, the Taliban militants engaged in resistance against security forces in different parts of the NWFP and tribal belt Monday hailed Musharraf's resignation and termed it a positive step. Tehrik Taliban Pakistan spokesman Maulvi Omar while talking to media persons suggested the govt to bring an end to Musharraf inherited policies in tribal regions. He said if govt did so, TTP would disband its activities throughout the country with immediate effect and was also ready for negotiations. However, he threatened continuing attacks against the govt installations if the govt failed to stop military operation. He added that innocent people were dying in the military action, which had displaced more than half a million people so far. Whereas TTP Swat spokesman Muslim Khan has demanded trail of Musharraf through Federal Shariat Court. He alleged that Musharraf at behest of US killed thousands of people.
