Authorities have decided to launch a crackdown on illegally residing foreigners in Islamabad and four adjoining districts to declare them “safe zones.”

The measures include compiling data of undocumented foreigners, blocking their mobile SIM issuance, and banning property transactions by restricting the sale of stamp papers.

The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, with deputy commissioners of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Murree, and Haripur tasked to implement the plan.

Randhawa directed officials to ensure comprehensive data collection, including details of residences, and to devise a strategy preventing future resettlement of illegal foreigners.

The data will be shared with FIA and NADRA, while strict action will be taken against those staying in homes or hotels without registration. Only foreigners with valid visas will be allowed to stay, and violators will face legal action.
