Fingerprints of Imambargah suicide bomber sent to NADRA

Islamabad- The police have prepared an initial report of the Imambargah Qasr-i-Sakina bomb blast, by sending fingerprints and sketch of the suicide bomber to NADRA for verification.

According to the initial report, the suicide bomber vest contained around six kilograms of explosives and ball bearings. The police also found a live grenade was also near the body of the suicide bomber, which was later defused by the bomb disposal squads. The police said that the bomber had the trigger of the vest on his right hand.

According to the initial report, a case of the blast has been registered against unknown persons at the Shehzad Town Police Station, on the complaint of a member of the Imamabrgah committee. The police, meanwhile, said that they conducted search operation in Ghauri Town, Iqbal Town, Shakrial and Qutbal Town and rounded up 15 suspects to broaden the scope of investigation in the case. The police claimed to have seized a large cache of arms and ammunition from their possession. The police said that one of three suspects belong to a banned outfit.
