ISLAMABAD  -  On the directions of the Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and DG Civil Defence, CDA has activated its emergency and disaster management teams including all fire and rescue units across its substations to manage the ongoing rain emergency in Islamabad. Rescue teams are patrolling various areas of Islamabad to ensure vigilance, address untoward situations, and provide prompt assistance to the citizens.

Several successful operations have been conducted by CDA Emergency and Disaster Management Directorate, Environment Wing, Islamabad Police and District Administration Islamabad including rescuing victims when a tree fell on a moving car in the E-7 sector, triggered by heavy winds and adverse weather conditions. The incident was sudden and alarming, but the driver inside the vehicle fortunately escaped uninjured. Concerned passersby promptly alerted the Capital Development Authority rescue team, which arrived at the scene immediately equipped with specialized tools. The team extricated the driver from the vehicle, ensuring his safety, and then removed the fallen tree to clear the road.  The CDA rescue teams cleared fire call in sector F-8/2 besides addressing waterlogging in low-lying areas.
