A powerful windstorm swept across Peshawar and several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa late Sunday night, claiming at least three lives and leaving 14 others injured, according to a report issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

The storm, marked by intense winds and dust, caused widespread disruption and damage. Among the deceased were two men and a child. One fatality occurred in the Khyber district, where a man was killed after a solar panel fell on him. Several solar panels and a communication tower also collapsed under the force of the wind.

The PDMA confirmed that 14 people sustained injuries in the storm, including eight men, three women, and three children. Rescue and medical teams were mobilized to assist the injured and assess the damage in affected areas.

The storm also led to partial damage to five properties, including three houses and two buildings. Incidents of fallen walls and uprooted trees were reported from Charsadda, Khyber, Nowshera, and Peshawar.

Authorities have begun relief and rehabilitation efforts, while urging residents to remain cautious amid forecasts of unstable weather conditions.
