Vehari - The School of Economics, Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan, organized a key academic workshop titled “Clarity in Research Writing: Topic Selection and Fundamental Skills of Academic Writing” to enhance research quality and writing skills among students and early-career researchers. Dr. Sharafat Ali, Associate Professor and Director of Education (Colleges), Bahawalpur Division, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of selecting relevant research topics, identifying gaps, and adopting clear writing and logical argumentation.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Ramzan Sheikh, Director of the School of Economics, emphasized that quality research is vital for national progress and should be viewed as an intellectual responsibility rather than just an academic task. He pledged continued efforts to promote a research culture at BZU.Professor Dr. Muhammad Zahir Fareedi encouraged students to focus on research with practical relevance to local and national issues. Other notable contributors included Dr. Fatima Farooq, Dr. Farzana Munir, Dr. Rasheed Ahmad, and Dr. Mirza Nadeem Baig.Organized by the School of Economics Executive Council, the workshop drew a large student turnout, reflecting growing interest in academic research at BZU.
