ISLAMABAD - Adviser to Azad Kashmir government for Population Welfare Sardar Muhammad Hussain has urged the federal government to give AJK its right. He said hindrance in provision of funds required by the Azad Kashmir government is unacceptable.
“Kashmiri migrants send foreign exchange to Pakistan every year and if AJK rights are not given, they will stage a dharna in front of the Parliament in Islamabad, the message of which will not go well across the Line of Control,” he said in an interaction with media.
Sardar Muhammad Hussain said, “We are being forced to take extreme steps. The federal government must sit down and discuss with us the issue of our income.”
He claimed that Kashmiri people are giving their lives for Pakistan, our destination is Pakistan. “For the last 75 years, the struggle of Kashmiris for freedom is actually the movement for completion of Pakistan,” he said.
He said, “The federal government must fulfil its responsibilities according to the resolutions of the United Nations. The demand for release of funds for provision of basic needs and solution of problems in Azad Kashmir is the voice of the people of the state.”
