Tribal women hold protest

KHYBER   -  Tribal women held a protest demonstration against blasphemy here in Jamrud on Monday.

Scores of local women gathered at Pak-Afghan Highway, in front of Jamrud Grid Station and blocked traffic on the road by putting stones on it. The protesting women were of the view that it was duty of every Muslim (men and women) to take every initiative to uphold the honour of the Prophet (PBUH). “The tribal women are not lesser than women of other parts of the country to defend honour of the Prophet (PBUH),” they remarked.

They categorically condemned publishing of blasphemous sculptures and urged the tribal people to come out and express their affection for the Prophet (PBUH). The protestors urged the government to expel the French ambassador from the country.
