LPGDA to protest against price hike

LAHORE - LPG distributors Association Pakistan has announced to stage countrywide protest against the highhandedness of LPG marketing companies for increasing the prices of the product LPG 4th time in just last 10 days. According to a press release issued on Thursday, Chairman LPG distribution association Muhammad Irfan Khokhar said that they would launch protests on August 31 against the LPG marketing companies for unjustified and huge increase the prices of LPG in the local market. He said that the marketing companies have increased the price of LPG by Rs 5 per-kg and the prices have been increased 4th time in just 10 days while the LPG consumers are facing multiple problems. Irfan said that worst type of increase in LPG prices in the flood-affected areas has further aggravated the situation. The government should take strict action against LPG marketing companies which have resorted to illegal profiteering, he added.
