KARACHI The Government of Sindh is considering the promotion of the nurses to the higher grades and their protection at hospitals will also be ensured. Provincial Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Information Sharmila Faruqui said this while speaking as a chief guest at the Nurses Christmas Dinner 2010 at Christ the King Seminary the other night. Provincial Advisor said that nursing was a noble profession and history shows that nurses have played a vital role in serving suffering humanity and their love, affection and care have saved the lives of countless injured and sick people. She advised the young girls of noble families to come forward and join the noble profession of Nursing, because nothing is nobler than suffering humanity. Ms. Sharmila Faruqui expressed her dissatisfaction over working environment in private hospitals where good salary and job security were not provided to the nurses and some time angry protesters thrash them for nothing. She further said that nurses were an essential and important part of the society and without society was incomplete and we all should pay them due respect because they belong to loftier profession of the earth. She told that through various programmes young girls were being trained as nurses because we needed them and Sindh Government was taking all its efforts to redress the issues of the nurses. Provincial Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Information Ms. Sharmila Faruqui appreciated the services of the nurses and said that their real reward lied with Goal because their dedicated efforts cannot be counted in money.
