LAHORE: Punajb Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif today said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should remain confined to perform its role as a responsible watchdog.
The Chief Minister, in a statement here, said NAB should function responsibly. The government, he said, desired an effective accountability procedure, however, it would not allow any department to hinder projects having national importance.
It may be added that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, while addressing party workers in Bahawalpur last week, criticised NAB alleging the institution of harassing and raiding homes of innocent people on baseless charges of corruption and advised it work responsibly.
