LAHORE - Classic Cricket Club defeated IESCO Club by three wickets in the semifinal to book berth in the final of the Northern Cricket Association Winter Cricket League.
Chasing a mammoth total of 210 runs, Moeed Sheikh-led Classic Cricket Club reached home safely with three balls to spare. Salman Khan emerged as hero of the day from the winning team as he batted with authority and punished IESCO Club bowlers at his will and cracked a classic century. His 107-run innings included 15 fours and 2 towering sixes. Another top batter from Classic Club was Ashfaq Ali, who hammered 68 runs and also bowled well and took two scalps. From IESCO Club, Ghaffar claimed 3 for 37 and Nouman Nazeer and Mohsin Abbasi bagged two wickets each.
