Jemima jeers at Maryam Nawaz for giving anti-Semitic remarks about her sons

Ex-wife of PM Imran Khan on Tuesday jeered at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)'s vice president Maryam Nawaz for anti-Semitic slur against her sons. Jemima took offense for Maryam Nawaz describing her sons as "Goldsmith's grandsons" in an jeering manner.

While addressing a rally in AJK, Maryam Nawaz criticized PM Imran Khan and his sons in response to PM Imran Khan's statement made earlier about Nawaz Sharif attending a polo match in the UK to watch Maryam's son, Junaid Safdar, play.

"Junaid is Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, not Goldsmith’s. He’s Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, he’s not being raised in the lap of Jews.", Maryam stated.

Maryam's response was in connected with PM Imran Khan's statement which stated that "The poor should go to jail and the powerful get NROs (National Reconciliation Ordinance) and go park themselves abroad and watch their grandson’s polo match."

Jemima took offense to Maryam Nawaz's remarks and reacted to the anti-Semitic slur on twitter. She stated that “My kids are “being raised in the lap of the Jews,” announced Maryam Nawaz Sharif today."

"I left Pakistan in 2004 after a decade of anti-Semitic attacks by the media and politicians (weekly death threats and protests outside my house). But still, it continues.", she added.
