DHA Montessori holds annual function


KARACHI - The annual function and convocation ceremony of DHA Montessori was held here on Tuesday.
Farah Durrani, academic manager, Beaconhouse School System was the chief guest of the function.
She said that the primary goal of a Montessori system was to help children in their formative age to reach their optimum potential in all areas of life. She added that purposeful activities embedded in Montessori syllabus help promote development of social skills, emotional growth and physical co-ordination of children.
She stressed upon the teachers to nurture and develop intelligence of children with utmost care and devotion. She further advised the teachers to handle and groom young children with love, care and tenderness to leave lasting imprints of learning on their formative minds.
Earlier the Principal of the institute, Ayesha Wasti in her welcome address said that Montessori education required focusing on development of skills, refinement of senses and formation of a base for personality development. She said that Montessori system meant education for life and it begins from the hour a child was born. The young kids beaming with confidence looked spectacular in their colourful costumes. They presented musical rhymes and delightful plays which were highly applauded by the guests.
 At the end chief guest distributed prizes amongst the students who excelled in various academic and learning activities.
