CTD arrests five suspects in intelligence based ops

LAHORE   -   The Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Saturday claimed to have conducted 19 extensive intelligence based operations (IBOs) in different districts of the province and arrested five suspects. According to a CTD spokesman, the CTD teams also recovered 1,672g of explosives, 8ft safety fuse, match box, three detonators, IED, hand grenade, mobile phone, Rs226,840 cash, pistol, jacket, flag of proscribed TTP, banned books, and 12 pamphlets from the possession of the accused. The suspects identified as Waqas, Ameerullah, Abidur Rehman, Jahangir, and Rehmatullah were arrested from Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Multan and Khanewal districts.
