LAHORE – Virtual University held its 3rd convocation with a dignified ceremony at the Lahore Expo Center. 2000 students received their degrees. Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani graced the ceremony as the chief guest. The graduation ceremony was attended by the Rector of Virtual University Dr. Sadaqat Mehi along with faculty members, students and their parents, senior government officials, educationists and intellectuals in large numbers, says a press release.
Prime Minister while addressing the ceremony applauded the services of Virtual University in the education sector of Pakistan and congratulated the graduating students. He said that higher education plays a pivotal role in the development of a nation and Virtual University is brining it in the reach of almost anyone. The Prime Minister noted that because of Virtual University’s innovative education program, students can study even from their homes.
