In the past decade, street crimes have increased all over Pakistan. The twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi were considered relatively safer but unfortunately in the past few years, street crime has increased here as well. There are many cases of mugging daily. These criminals have become very bold; it seems as if they are not afraid of the police or any authority. This lawlessness has spread and the victims not only lose their possessions but are also traumatized for days. In order to tackle this increasing violence against society, surveillance cameras should be installed to assist the police in catching the culprits. Also, stringent action should be taken against the black sheep, within the law enforcing agencies, who provide cover to these criminals.
