An Unfulfilled Promise

The scorching heat of summers has arrived, as has the increased and unwanted heat of load-shedding. Everyone is hopelessly cursing the government for not solving this age-old problem despite its promise to end the power crisis in just three months (during its election campaign) but now that one year has passed, the crisis has still not ended.
In fact, we have even become severely deprived of water, especially people living in Karachi simply due to the corruption of the authorities. Firstly, because it is not doing this through any other means and secondly, because it is more easy and cheap to produce energy from water than other available options.
