Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC), during his ongoing three-day official visit to Beijing, state-run APP reported on Tuesday.

In their meeting, both sides agreed to strengthen institutional linkages between Pakistan’s political parties and the Communist Party of China (CPC). Dar expressed gratitude for China’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and other core interests.

Liu reaffirmed China’s commitment to its strategic partnership with Pakistan, calling the relationship an “ironclad friendship” and a priority in Beijing’s foreign policy.

Earlier, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning highlighted the significance of Deputy PM Dar’s visit, describing it as a reflection of Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with China. She reiterated that both countries maintain close, high-level engagement and emphasized China’s readiness to deepen cooperation across various sectors.

Addressing the broader regional context, Mao Ning reaffirmed China's neutral stance on India-Pakistan relations, stating that China values its ties with both neighbors and continues to advocate for peaceful dialogue, regional stability, and a lasting ceasefire.
