PTI to challenge ECP imposed campaign ban

Lahore: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to move to the Lahore High Court (LHC) against the bar imposed by Election Commission of Pakistan on PTI chief Imran Khan, from running by-polls election campaigns.
PTI Punjab chief organizer Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, while addressing a press conference today said that the PTI believed in democracy and wanted to further strengthen it. Sarwar said that corruption and injustice will not be tolerated.
“The Punjab police have been politicized and they have failed to apprehend targets killers, extortionists and criminals,” Sarwar said claiming that the police were harassing their candidates of local government elections.
Sarwar demanded to impose a ban on participation of prime minister, governors and chief ministers in the electioneering.
