ISLAMABAD -The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is working in absence of a legal advisor despite the passage of several months after the removal of previous post holder.

The services of Muhammad Ali Bokhari— advocate of the Supreme Court were disengaged by the Ministry of Law and Justice in the first week of June 2022, who  was appointed on the post by the previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

It is pertinent to mention here that at present; about 2000 cases are pending against CDA at Islamabad High Court while more than 6000 case are pending in lower judiciary.

When contacted, the Director Public Relations CDA Syed Asif Shah said that the appointment of legal advisor is the domain of the Ministry of Law and Justice. He informed that a legal advisor will soon be appointed by the federal government.
