PESHAWAR - The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Monday arrested a key militant commander carrying a bounty of Rs0.5 million during a raid in the outskirts of the provincial metropolis.
According to details, information received by the police about the presence of a terrorist commander identified as Alamzaib in Sarband locality. The CTD police conducted an operation in Sarband area and arrested Commander Alamzaib having head money Rs0.5m. Police said besides they have also confiscated weapons from his possession and shifted him to undisclosed location for interrogation. Police said he was wanted in many cases, including an attack on police party in 2009 following which the provincial govt had announced a reward of Rs0.5m on his head.
