The 19th constitutional amendment bill is being tabled in National Assembly today. The amendment comprises of the powers of the Chief Justice with regard to appointment of the adhoc judges and the matters related to nomination of the judges. The amendment bill finalized by the Constitutional Reforms Committee (CRC) suggests appointment of adhoc judges by the President. Nineteenth constitutional amendment proposes 26 amendments in six Articles of the constitution.
