| Weapons, ammunition recovered from militants’ possession | Soldier embraces martyrdom during operation


ISLAMABAD   -  Security Forces yesterday conducted an intelligence based operation on reported presence of terrorists in North Waziristan District and killed five terrorists.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the intense exchange of fire, five terrorists were gunned down.

The killed terrorists were identified as Habib Nawaz alias Shakil, Waheed Ullah, Abdur Rehman and Muhammad Ullah while identification of the 5th terrorist is in progress.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists which include sub-machine guns, hand-grenades and a large quantity of multiple calibre rounds.

The ISPR further said that the killed terrorists were involved in terrorist activities against Security Forces target killing and kidnapping for ransom.

Meanwhile, Sepoy Shabbir Ahmed, age 28 and resident of Quetta, fighting gallantly and inflicting casualties upon the terrorists, embraced martyrdom during the intense fire fight.

The ISPR Media Wing said that the Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.

Earlier this week, six terrorists, who were involved in recent attacks on military personnel in Balochistan’s Kech district, were killed during an exchange of fire with security forces in Injirkan Range near the district’s Buleda area.
