RAWALPINDI - Regional Police Officer (RPO), Rawalpindi, Nasir Khan Durrani placed one ASI and four Constables of Rawalpindi district under suspension and removed nine Head Constables of Attock district from service here on Friday. According to details, DIG Nasir Khan Durrani paid a surprise visit to Civil Lines Police Station and checked the record. The record of the police station was found incomplete and in bad shape. The details of cases were also found to be missing. The ASI Moharrir tried to conceal the facts and has been trying to mislead the CPO Office regarding actual statement of pending investigation. On this he was immediately placed under suspension and transferred to the lines. Four constables were found absent they were also placed under suspension. The SHO was not found to be familiar about the proclaimed offenders of his police station and cases under investigation. Moreover, most of cases related to white-collar crime were found pending without any reason. This was probably done to blackmail the parties for ulterior motives. On this the SHO was issued show-cause notice for poor performance. The DIG, Nasir Khan Durrani, removed five head constable and four constables of Attock district from service on account of corruption, bad reputation, and repeated manoeuvring posting at Attcok Khurd and Khushal Garah check posts for ulterior motive. These include head constable Sajjawal Hussian, head constable Sarfraz, head constable Irfan, head constable Saeed Ahmad, head constable Muhammad Ashraf, constable Akhtar, constable Asghar, Ghulam Abbas and constable Zaheer.
